Biblical Fidelity

Core Value; We uphold the Bible as the inerrant and authoritative Word of God, ensuring that all teaching and practice are rooted in its divine truth. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

"16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God[a] may be complete, equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Biblical Fidelity is not merely a statement of belief, it is a lifestyle. It is commitment to the unchanging truth of God’s Word. This foundational value affirms that the Bible is without error, authoritative, and completely sufficient for all aspects of life and ministry.

In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Paul says that Scripture is God-breathed. Divinely inspired. It does not merely contain truth, it is Truth. On the signs at the entrances to our campuses, this is written—Teaching The Treasures Of God’s Truth. When we uphold the Bible as God’s Truth, we are anchored in a source that does not shift with culture, opinion, or circumstance.

We live in a world of competing voices and moral confusion, so we must adhere to and always return to the highest standard of God’s Word. The Bible not only tells us what is true, it also rebukes what is false, corrects our errors, and teaches us righteousness. It equips us to serve at African Bible Colleges with clarity, integrity, and purpose.

As students, teachers, leaders, and followers of Christ, we must let Scripture shape every part of our lives. As you read the Bible (hopefully on a daily basis), let God’s Word guide, transform, and confront you. I would also suggest taking notes, writing down ways you can apply to your own life what you have read.

Let us recommit to this Core Value not just in word, but in practice. This should not be just a passive belief, but an active obedience. When we faithfully teach and live out the Scriptures, we reflect God’s Truth and Wisdom to a watching world. Then our words have weight, our ministry bears fruit, and our witness is trustworthy.

The Bible has to be our foundation, our truth, our authority, and our joy!

Reflection

1. How am I allowing God’s Word to actively correct, guide, or transform me right now?

2. In what specific area of my life do I need to yield more fully to Scripture’s authority so that it shapes not only what I believe, but how I live each day?
